Requirements Applicants should have their completed card/paperwork, at the time of their scheduled appointment. If an applicant is to be fingerprinted for multiple purposes, a separate card/form is required for each purpose. Separate fees apply.
Applicants must possess a current valid form of photo ID to complete the fingerprinting process. Acceptable forms of ID include a Drivers License, State ID, Military ID, Mexican Consulate Identification Card or Passport. Note: Student IDs, temporary DMV printouts, Social Security cards or other forms of ID will not be accepted for any reason at any time.
Note: For Fingerprint Clearance Card Identity Verified Prints (IVP), you must have, at the time of fingerprinting, a Money Order, Cashiers Check or Business check in the amount of $65.00 (for volunteer position), or $69.00 (for all other paid positions) -made payable to Department of Public Safety (DPS). NO Cash or Personal Checks or Debit/Charge Cards are accepted.
* NOTE: Effective January 1, 2009 the fees increased. The fee for a volunteer is $65 and the fee for all others is $69.
- All fees will be collected at the time services are provided and must be paid in Cash (accepted for Fingerprinting Service - not for Application Fee), Check, or Money Order. (Debit or Credit Cards are not accepted at this time)
